Since opening in 1993, our engineers
have been kept on their toes by the ever evolving nature of the demands and possibilities
offered by the new school of recording techniques. We realise the power and flexibility
of modern technologies can greatly enhance the recording process if used creatively
and innovatively.
However, the benefits of more traditional studio equipment
are still unmatched in their ability to create the unexpected elements of the
sound that can be difficult to quantify. At Lumen, we have looked into exactly
what can lead to these unquantifiable elements, and have selected our analogue
and vintage gear to ensure that they can be captured and integrated into recordings
in an organic way.
We also have an extensive collection of vintage instruments
for you to play with, from an original Fender Rhodes and Wurlitzer to true analogue
Korg and ARP synths.
