Tristan joined Lumen in 2001 as a fresh faced music technology student straight out of Northbrook College, where Mark spotted his Lumen-like approach in the studio. Tristan decided to attend Northbrook College after he had spent far too much time and money on music equipment while at university instead of books and quite often food!

Very much a 'new school' engineer, Tris has always been a skilled exponent in the new breed of computer based recording and editing systems, and all the sound bending possibilities associated with making music in this way. Mentally reverse-engineering these processes led Tris back to the traditional recording concepts of the 'tape and desk' studio, but with the extra sonic possibilities that systems such as Pro Tools offer during a session.

Chief engineer Tristan is always busy developing the Lumen ethos as well as managing the studio team. Equally at home in a deadline driven post production session as he is in a creative music recording session, Tristan is the proverbial safe pair of hands, able to adapt to the demands of the situation at a moment's notice.

Still collaborating with a range of eclectic musical personalities as a drummer, programmer and musical ideas man Tristan is a shining example of the Lumen ethos - a creative professional in the truest sense of the word - able to helm, oversee and contribute to a project whatever the field or the context.
